A reset starts a new game but keeps a backup on your device. To remove local backups, delete the app.
Where your data lives
Game saves are on your device and, when iCloud is available, in your private Apple storage. The developer cannot access these saves or remotely delete your iCloud copy. The current version has no separate account on a developer-operated server.
Move your progress
- Use the same Apple Account with iCloud enabled on both devices.
- Connect to the internet and open “Progress & iCloud” in the game’s settings.
- If asked to choose between local and cloud saves, compare progress and dates before confirming. A local backup is made before replacement.
Keep the game on the old device until you have checked your progress on the new one.
Start over
Choose “Reset progress” in the game’s settings. The game starts over and, when sync is available, replaces your iCloud save with fresh progress. A local “before reset” backup remains in “Progress & iCloud”. A reset therefore does not delete all saved data.
Delete game data
- Close the game on other devices so they do not upload old progress again.
- On an internet-connected device, reset progress in the game. Check sync status in “Progress & iCloud”: when iCloud is unavailable, the reset only affects the device until sync is possible.
- Delete the app in iOS settings using “Delete App”, not “Offload App”. iOS removes the app’s files and local backups. Repeat on other devices if you also want to remove their local copies.
A random device tag in the iOS keychain may remain after uninstalling. Whole-device backups may contain earlier data; manage those separately through iOS and Apple.
Data held by Apple
Resetting or deleting the game does not delete App Store purchase history, your Game Center profile, scores and achievements, or device backups. Apple holds this information. Manage it through Apple Account settings, Game Center and privacy.apple.com.
One-time purchases can be restored through “Restore purchases”. Consumable items are not granted again.
